Trinity New Life Church exists to see people Love Jesus, Love People and Serve the City

Our church has a passion to see everyone in the Trinity area be transformed by Jesus Christ. Additionally, we are convinced a true love for Jesus is lived out by demonstrating the same love He showed us to those around us, and to the city as a whole. So while our faith will always be personal, it will never be private. Our church will share the love of Jesus to Trinity area in our words and our actions.

Our Values

TRANSFORMATIONAL TEACHING

We will move beyond information accumulation and teach for life transformation at every level and in every environment.

"Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect." Romans 12:2. See also 2 Corinthians 5:17, Matthew 28:19-20.

DEFIANT GENEROSITY

We will defy and not be defined by the economy, our paycheck, consumerism, materialism and the love of money. We will be defiantly generous both personally and corporately, event to a fault.

"Now I want you to know, dear brothers and sisters, what God in his kindness has done through the churches in Macedonia. 2 They are being tested by many troubles, and they are very poor. But they are also filled with abundant joy, which has overflowed in rich generosity. 3 For I can testify that they gave not only what they could afford, but far more. And they did it of their own free will. 4 They begged us again and again for the privilege of sharing in the gift for the believers in Jerusalem. 5 They even did more than we had hoped, for their first action was to give themselves to the Lord and to us, just as God wanted them to do." 2 Corinthians 8:1.

SACRIFICIAL SERVICE

We will follow the example of Jesus and serve others past the point of comfort and embrace the significance of sacrifice.

But Jesus called them together and said, “You know that the rulers in this world lord it over their people, and officials flaunt their authority over those under them.26 But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, 27 and whoever wants to be first among you must become your slave. 28 For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:25-27. INTENTIONAL EVANGELISM

We will never be passive but always be aggressive and intentional to see those who don’t know Jesus come to trust Him as savior and serve Him as Lord.

"For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost." Luke 19:10. See also 2 Corinthians 5:11, 19-21.

REDEMPTIVE COMMUNITY

We will move beyond causal friendships and into honest, loving and potentially uncomfortable community to see each person and family reach their maximum redemptive potential.

"Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself. 2 Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ. 3 If you think you are too important to help someone, you are only fooling yourself. You are not that important." Galatians 6:1-3. See also Acts 2:42.

PASSION CULTIVATION

We believe God places a redeemed passion inside of every believer, and we will create a culture of cultivation to draw out and develop it for the sake of the Kingdom of God.

God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. 11 Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen. 1 Peter 4:10. See also Ephesians 4:16, 1 Corinthians 14:26.

Statement of Faith

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
  • We believe there is one eternal, almighty and perfect God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
  • We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential.
  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
  • We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
  • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
