Proverbs 18:20-21

20 Wise words satisfy like a good meal;
the right words bring satisfaction.
21 The tongue can bring death or life;
those who love to talk will reap the consequences.

Colossians 3:16-17

16 Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. 17 And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.

Q: When you reminisce on great memories, or times in your life, how often is it music or a certain song that “takes you back”? Why does music have that ability? What do certain songs trigger in you? Do you have a song that pumps you up, comforts you, or helps you relax? What power does music have over your feelings?

Q: How much power do your words have over your life? Do you speak life or death over situation when you open your mouth? How does that translate to music? Are you just randomly saying words, or are you speaking things whether its subconsciously or not? What are you creating in your life with the words that you let in and that you let come off your lips?
