James 2:14-17

What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don’t show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone? 15 Suppose you see a brother or sister who has no food or clothing, 16 and you say, “Good-bye and have a good day; stay warm and eat well”—but then you don’t give that person any food or clothing. What good does that do? 17 So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless.

Q: Are there practical ways that other people have blessed you? Have you ever had a time when you needed something and someone helped you? In what practical ways can you help others? Have you asked the Holy Spirit to show you ways that you can help others?

Q: Do you bless others in ways that you can, or do you compare your means to the way others give? Do you sow into places that bring the greatest return, or do you never give because you’re worried that something better will come along? How can you stop the excuses in giving away your blessings and just bless others?
