HEBREWS 11:8-10

8 It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance. He went without knowing where he was going. 9 And even when he reached the land God promised him, he lived there by faith—for he was like a foreigner, living in tents. And so did Isaac and Jacob, who inherited the same promise. 10 Abraham was confidently looking forward to a city with eternal foundations, a city designed and built by God.

Abraham had faith in God and left his native land. God told him he would receive an inheritance and that he would be blessed and become a nation. But, once he arrived where God told him to go, he was treated as a foreigner.

Q: What did Abraham do once he arrived at the land God had given him?

Q: When Abraham reached the land he was promised by God, he was still treated as a foreigner, this puts Abraham at a huge disadvantage and it wasn’t easy for him or his family. What uncomfortable or difficult place, physical or spiritual, is God calling you?

Q: The very place where God has placed you could be a source of difficulty, struggle, and pain. However, these are often the places where God is most refining us and using us to be a light and a witness to those who are far from Him. To whom can you can be a light and a witness to today?
