PSALM 39:4-5

4 “Lord, remind me how brief my time on earth will be.
Remind me that my days are numbered—
how fleeting my life is.
5 You have made my life no longer than the width of my hand.
My entire lifetime is just a moment to you;
at best, each of us is but a breath.”

15 So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. 16 Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.

Time is a humbling reality, a resource that cannot be gained back. Though the Psalmist acknowledges the fleeting nature of life, his plea to God reveals our need for divine momentum in a busy world.

Q: Why do you think the Psalmist is asking God to reveal how fleeting his life is?
Q: Do you feel like time is using you instead of you using it for God’s purposes? What do you need to re-prioritize for God?
Q: Jesus knew the world would know His disciples by how they loved one another. Are you genuinely investing in and sacrificing your time for your spiritual family?
