2 Corinthians 10:3-5

3 We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. 4 We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. 5 We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.

Titus 2:11-12

11 For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. 12 And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God

1 John 5:3-5

3 Loving God means keeping his commandments, and his commandments are not burdensome. 4 For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. 5 And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.

Q: What is the best way to fight against the attacks of the Devil? How can you prevent Satan from gaining a foothold in your life? What are you doing in your daily life to prepare yourself for when he tries to thwart your life in Christ? What powerful promises does God give us in today’s scriptures?

Q: Can you overcome the world through your faith? Are you working out your faith in order to make it stronger? Does your faith need to grow? How can you build your faith? As your faith is built, do you find the empowerment from Jesus and see victory, peace and purpose in your life? As your faith is built, do you find that as you are in Christ, you are empowered to have ongoing, increasing victory in your life?
