PSALM 18:30-32

30 God’s way is perfect.
All the Lord’s promises prove true.
He is a shield for all who look to him for protection.
31 For who is God except the Lord?
Who but our God is a solid rock?
32 God arms me with strength,
and he makes my way perfect.

JOHN 1:1-5

In the beginning the Word already existed.
The Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
2 He existed in the beginning with God.
3 God created everything through him,
and nothing was created except through him.
4 The Word gave life to everything that was created,[a] and his life brought light to everyone.
5 The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness can never extinguish it.

In other translations, Psalm 18:30 reads that “the word of God proves true.” Jesus is the Word of God promised in the Old Testament. Jesus pre-existed the earth, and He spoke creation into being, as described by John in the opening of his Gospel.

Q: Who is the Word of God described in John 1:1?

Q: In light of the fact that the Bible is the reliable word of God, shouldn’t we be reading it more regularly? What is your next step in making Bible reading and comprehension more of a priority?

Q: Who do you know that needs to hear the Good News of Jesus? How can you share this with them in the coming week?
