Romans 12:1-2

And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. 2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Q: Paul pleads to the Roman church to give their bodies to God. Why did he plead for that? What did Paul say they needed to do in order to let God transform them? After transformation, he tells them that they would learn God’s will for themselves. How did Paul describe God’s will?

Q: In what ways do you give God priority in the way you live? What behaviors and customs did you walk away from to walk closer to Him? Do you examine all aspects of your life in prayer with a desire to allow God to transform you? Or do you keep certain areas and things away from Him? Do you believe the lie that says, “this isn’t an area that is important to Him”?
