EPHESIANS 5:31-33

31 As the Scriptures say, “A man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.”[a] 32 This is a great mystery, but it is an illustration of the way Christ and the church are one. 33 So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

IT ALL POINTS TO JESUS

Marriage paints a beautiful portrait of how Jesus took responsibility for the Church and made it without blemish. It gives us a glimpse into the greatest mystery of all. It’s vital for us to understand that relationships are designed to point to, and help us look more like Jesus. Whether that’s marriage, friendship, or any other relationship, we’re called to be like Jesus in every single one of them.

PERSONAL REFLECTION

Q: How do our relationships help us have a clearer picture of who Jesus is and what He’s done for us?

Q: What relationships in your life help you have a better understanding of who Jesus is to you?

Q: With those relationships in mind, how can you take a step towards looking more like Jesus and invest in one of those relationships today?
