Matthew 9:35-38

35 Jesus traveled through all the towns and villages of that area, teaching in the synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom. And he healed every kind of disease and illness. 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 He said to his disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. 38 So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.”

Luke 10:1-2

The Lord now chose seventy-two other disciples and sent them ahead in pairs to all the towns and places he planned to visit. 2 These were his instructions to them: “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.

DEVOTIONAL QUESTIONS

Q: When you have a growing relationship with Jesus, do you find that you want to tell others about it? When you discover new things about His character, or find freedom in His promises, do you want to share that with people who need to know about them too? How does your relationship affect your ability to disciple?

Q: In order to make disciples, you need to first learn, then obey. So, where and how are you learning? Are you then taking the step to obey it?

Q: After you learn and obey, are you teaching others to do the same? Are helping increase the number of workers for the harvest Jesus tells us is ready for Him?
