It’s time to ENGAGE your faith!

GET OVER YOUR FEAR AND GET ENGAGED!

When I (Pastor Clayton) first became a Christian, I didn’t understand the word “evangelism.” Was I suppose to yell at people, drag them kicking and screaming to church, or just get a big sign and stand in the street? I saw this command to share my faith over and over again in scripture, but I was scared, unsure, and positive it just wasn’t “for me.”

Oh, how wrong I was. I wasn’t the best at it when I started, but over time, with some training and coaching, I’ve gotten to be “not horrible,” I’ve had the honor to lead people into the kingdom of God, and I’ve actually grown in my faith because of it!

So taking a wild guess and assuming that many of your feel the same way, that you’d like to share your faith and invite folks to church but you’re just not sure how or what to say, we’re taking four weeks to help equip and ENGAGE you in your faith!

ENGAGE TRAINING

Starting with a training on August 11th, and continuing for four weeks of a co-ed super-New Life Group (all other NLG’s will be on a break during this time) on Wednesdays from 7-8pm (Aug 15-29, Sept 5), we’re going to give you all of the practical training you need to be able to grow in the areas of evangelism and discipleship.

Here’s just a preview of the topics we’ll cover:

The gift of evangelism myth
How to share the gospel in four words
How to share your testimony using the same four words
How to invite someone to church
What to do when they say “Yes”
How to be a social media evangelist
Pitfalls and lies of evangelism

SATURDAY SEMINAR DETAILS

The Engage Kick-Off Training will be held at Baypointe Church on Saturday, August 11th, from 9am-3pm.

Childcare will be provided if you sign up a week ahead of time. There is no fee for childcare.

The cost of class is $5 per person, which includes tools we’ll provide for you. Lunch will not be provided.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT GROUP DETAILS

The Engage Group will be held at Baypointe Church on Wednesdays from 7-8pm.

Childcare will be provided if you sign up ahead of time. Depending on the amount of childcare needed, there may be a small ($5 per child) weekly fee.
