READ

Ephesians 4:1-6

4 Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. 2 Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. 3 Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. 4 For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future.  5 There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all, who is overall, in all, and living through all.

REFLECT

God choose us to be His representatives here on earth.  We should live lives worthy of the calling we have received.  This scripture gives us clear instructions on how we should live.  To live our lives the way God calls us, we need to be united with His Spirit.  Unity does not just happen, it takes work.  What an awesome privilege to be called Christ’s very own!

APPLY

Q: What does a life worthy of our calling look like (see verse 2)?

Q: How well are you living your life as a representative of God?

Q: We can teach others how to live a life worthy of our calling just by being a living example.  Who in your life needs a good example?

SING

PRAY

"Forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us."

God, help others see Christ in me.  Teach me how to be a Godly example for others.  Forgive me when I stumble and help me get back on the right path.  Thank you for your instructions on how to live a life worthy of Your calling.
