wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.”

REFLECT
There is no denying it, scripture is abundantly clear- we are born broken. Not one human avoids this fate, death has spread to everyone. Now, in the beginning, God did not make humans sinful, he made them good. But as a result of sin, we are no longer made the way God intended- the desires we find within ourselves are not all good, not all designed by God. Herein lies our need for redemption, for a way back home to God. And this is the good news of the gospel, in Jesus Christ, there is a way to be made new, a way to be led by the Spirit of God, a way back home.

Who is like you in all of the earth? There is no one greater than you Lord. When we look to you, we are changed, our hearts are filled, our minds renewed, and our souls at peace. What good things you give to us, what love you have towards us. Praise your name God! May you be honored and glorified, and may our hearts rejoice in knowing you well. In Jesus’ name, amen.
