READ

Psalm 96:1-3

1 Sing a new song to the Lord!

Let the whole earth sing to the Lord!

2 Sing to the Lord; praise his name.

Each day proclaim the good news that he saves.

3 Publish his glorious deeds among the nations.

Tell everyone about the amazing things he does.

4 Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise!

He is to be feared above all gods.

Psalm 63:1-5

1 O God, you are my God;

I earnestly search for you.

My soul thirsts for you;

my whole body longs for you

in this parched and weary land

where there is no water.

2 I have seen you in your sanctuary

and gazed upon your power and glory.

3 Your unfailing love is better than life itself;

how I praise you!

4 I will praise you as long as I live,

lifting up my hands to you in prayer.

5 You satisfy me more than the richest feast.

I will praise you with songs of joy.

REFLECT

The book of Psalms is a collection of 150 poems that are sung. When you sing to God, you bring Him your heart and soul. When you sing to him you are obeying His word. When you sing to Him, you are praying to Him. Signing is a joyful part of a strong relationship with God. Does God hear your voice lifted up in worship.

"Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy."

Hallowed be your name, oh God! My voice sings praise to your name, my lips speak of your holiness, and my heart rejoices when it hears your name, my Lord! Worthy of glory and praise; my soul leaps at the chance to worship you!
