PROVERBS 27:17

REFLECT
God did not create us to do life alone- incredibly, we have HIS example in that. The God-head, three in one: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in continual communion with one another. And just as we were created to have communion with Him, we also were made to be in community with others. Scripture is filled with how to walk in wisdom and which decisions will make it easier for us to choose God and His ways. We have easily led astray, and who we do life with matters. Surround yourself with people who are pursuing God and you will be sharpened, but surround yourself with those who are of the world and your faith will become dull.
APPLY
Q: Why does the writer of Psalm 119 want “evil-minded people” out of his life?
Q: Who are you surrounding yourself with? With whom are you investing most of your time?
Q: Pray and think about who or what group in your life acts as your ‘sharpening iron’, how can you either press into a deeper community with them or encourage them today?

PRAY
"And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one."
Surround me Lord with your arms of grace, cover me with your wings, and let me find refuge in your strong tower. Give me clarity to choose my close friends wisely, so that I may be sharpened and walk faithfully in your ways.
