COLOSSIANS 3:14-15
And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body.
ROMANS 15:5-7
May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.

REFLECT
Note how Paul uses lots of action words: “Put on love…Let the peace of Christ rule…Accept one another…” He makes it so clear that loving one another like Jesus loves us takes intention and action. It can’t be a passive thing, happening in a vacuum. This is why serving others, forgiving others, encouraging others, and friending others are crucial to the health of the Body of Christ.

Lord, your will is for your glory over all the earth and for your Son to be glorified through us! Father, I thank you that your will is love and mercy and forgiveness. Help me to bring your kingdom to all around me. Amen.
