READ
2 Peter 3:15-16
"15 And remember, our Lord’s patience gives people time to be saved. This is what our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you with the wisdom God gave him— 16 speaking of these things in all of his letters. Some of his comments are hard to understand, and those who are ignorant and unstable have twisted his letters to mean something quite different, just as they do with other parts of Scripture. And this will result in their destruction.”

REFLECT
Peter references Paul’s writings as “wisdom God gave him”. Remember from yesterday’s devotion, Paul is the one who confronted Peter in Galatians 2:11-16. Peter and Paul had very different backgrounds and personalities. However, because they shared the same mission, they held each other in high esteem. This example of a true friendship included both motivation and accountability.
APPLY
Q: Where did Paul get his wisdom from?
Q: Who in your life still needs to be saved? How can you pray for them?
Q: Do you have friends that share the same mission? If not, why not join a community this fall?

PRAY
"Give us today our daily bread."
Lord, that you for this day. I want to hold my friends accountable and be held accountable to your ways. Give me the strength and wisdom to do both. Help me continue to pray for those that need to be saved and thank you for your patience. You are so gracious and wise Father!
