READ

Ephesians 4:31-32

"31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. 32 Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.”

REFLECT

Forgiveness is an ongoing process and choice.  God forgives us, not because we forgive others, but because of His great mercy!  As we begin to understand the breadth of God’s mercy, we will learn to forgive others so we can be more like Him.

APPLY

Q: Why should we forgive others?

Q: Is there someone you need to forgive?  Pray for God to help you with that.

SING

PRAYER

"Forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us."

Father, I don’t want bitterness, rage, anger, or unforgiveness to be in my life.  Please help me to forgive those who have sinned against me and teach me to be kind and tenderhearted to all those in my life.  I want to pray for my enemies and release the weight of unforgiveness.  Let your Holy Spirit help set me free from all types of evil behavior.  Thank you for your love and promises.
