Colossians 3:12-15 (NLT)
12 Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. 13 Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. 14 Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. 15 And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.

REFLECT
Forgiveness. Allowance. Wow, these are huge words. When you forgive you open your heart to humility and you are able to receive the fullness of His grace and peace. When you make allowances, you are not making excuses for someone else’s behavior, you are acknowledging that they are broken as you are broken and only He can fix them/you.
APPLY
Q: Is forgiveness a priority in your marriage? What about your other relationships?
Q: Read Colossians again. Are you making allowances?
Q: Who's forgiveness do you need? How does asking for it show others the way to Jesus?

"Forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us."
Forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us. Lord Jesus help me to open my heart and be more like you. Soften my heart so that I may treat those who have wronged me with compassion.
