REFLECT
Today's verse explores deeper into the characteristics of love.
Never gives up, never loses faith, always hopeful, and endures whatever the circumstance.
Words like "never" and "always" are very strong, very definitive words. The same sentiments are often used in marriage vows to convey the promise between spouses. It makes sense when we apply these to God's love for us because of His promises. But how much more difficult is it for us to show this kind of love to strangers or sometimes even each other? More often than not, it is hard.
Knowing that God will never give up on us, never lose faith in us, will always have hope for us, and will never leave our side is powerful stuff. In yesterday's devotional, we saw that love conquers fear within ourselves. The knowledge of God's love for us combined with the boldness of love amplifies love power when we take it outside of ourselves and share it. It is the ultimate enabler.
Love is strong, all-encompassing, and powerful and because of this, it will outlast any temporal gifts we may have that the world recognizes.

Dear Jesus, we thank you for the strength and power Your love gives us every day. Take the love we share with others and amplify it. Multiply it so all the world will know that you are Lord of all.
