READ
I Corinthians 13:8-10, 11-13
8 Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever!
9 Now our knowledge is partial and incomplete, and even the gift of prophecy reveals only part of the whole picture!
10 But when the time of perfection comes, these partial things will become useless.
12 Now we see things imperfectly, like puzzling reflections in a mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God now knows me completely.
13 Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.

REFLECT
Faith guides us in hope by the Holy Spirit, our hope is the promise of an eternal future with Christ, and love is what we experience both in giving and receiving when we are able to be in the presence of Christ the King and God the Creator of everything. All things that we think we know will be revealed in full at that time.
Even though faith, hope, and love will last forever, why is the greatest of this love?
Jesus spoke of storing up treasures for ourselves in Heaven and showed us how through acts of unselfish love (Luke 18:22). The second half of I Corinthians13:12 says that we will know everything and be completely known. This includes the love we were given and the love we shared. We will also be fully aware of God's love for us.
I believe that the love we share today is the love we will know in Heaven as part of our Heavenly treasures. Perfect clarity! Perfect love! Joy everlasting!

PRAY
"And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one."
Holy Spirit, help us to see true love through the eyes of the Father and the Son and the strength that it gives us to resist the temptation to sin. Let us be obedient to God so we can share in the love and store up Heavenly treasures. Amen.
