JOHN 16:33

"I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth, you will have many
trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

God knows we will face troubles and circumstances in our lives that will overwhelm us, and push us to the point of breaking. What a relief to remember that He already knows all of our troubles- past, present, and future- and anticipated our needs. God has given us a solution in Christ. Since Christ has overcome, and we now are alive in Him, we can have peace.

Q: Why can we be confident that we can find peace in Christ?

Q: What does it look like for you to ‘take heart’ in your current circumstances?

Q: How is this mindset different from what the world preaches about troubles?

"Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy."

Jesus, thank you for the gifts you give us. Thank you that the greatest gift we could ever receive you have already given us- your whole self. Lord may we press into you today, always seeking to know you more, to love you well, and to bring glory and honor to your name. You are our prince of peace and place of rest. May you be forever praised. Amen.
