READ

35 Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?”

“10 But it was the Lord’s good plan to crush him and cause him grief.  Yet when his life is made an offering for sin, he will have many descendants.  He will enjoy a long life, and the Lord’s good plan will prosper in his hands.”

REFLECT

God loved us so much that He put His Son to die so that His plans and purposes for man individually, humanity collectively, and nature universally, could be redeemed by faith in Christ alone.  God did this so that in the ages to come, He might show forth the incomparable riches of His grace, expressed in His kindness to us in Christ Jesus.  Our response should be to individually and collectively join with the choirs of heaven and sing forth His praise forevermore.

APPLY

Q: Is there anything that can ever separate us from Christ’s love?

Q: Do you know that God loves you even if you have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?  How can you remind yourself daily that He does and always will.

Q: Who is feeling discouraged with life?  How can you pray for them today?  Why not call them and tell them you are praying for them?

SING

PRAY

"May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven."

Heavenly Father, You are a loving and wonderfully gracious God, and I thank You and love You for putting the Lord Jesus to grief for my sake and for all who trust in His name.  Forgive those that misunderstand the depth of Your love for each of us individually and collectively, knowing that without Christ as our guilt offering, we could not have been redeemed to become Your children.  I want to praise Your name forever and ever!
