READ

2 Corinthians 10:3-4, Romans 8:18

“3 We are human, but we don’t wage war as humans do. 4 We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments.”

“18 Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later.”

REFLECT

The war we face is not waged against flesh and blood, against physical and material beings, but against spiritual forces.  We need to fight these spiritual battles with divine weapons.  God does not want us to rely on or trust in human resources to do divine work.  Our power is God’s power.  Our Lord has put an arsenal of divine weapons at our disposal.  All we have to do is use what He gave us.

APPLY

Q: What weapons do we need to use to destroy false arguments?
Q: Are you actively using the weapons God gave us?  If not, why not?
Q: How can you help others realize the weapons we have from God are most productive in this life?  Are you role-modeling this to those around you?

PRAY

"Give us today our daily bread."

Thank you for this day Lord.  Give me the weapons I need to fight the wars in my life.  Keep me grounded in Your word and truth.  Help me to run this race and stay focused on the prize, eternity with You!  Almighty God, I worship and praise You for all You have done for my life!
