READ
John 6:9-14
When we ask God to do something miraculous in our lives, we are not asking Him to do something difficult for Him. He has authority over all creation. He can command five loaves and two fish to feed over 5,000 people. In the same way, He can make it so that your resources are multiplied, or preserved, or carried over in ways that you may not be capable of doing. Asking bold things of God is proper because these things are only bold to us. To Him, our boldest request requires no effort to grant. Therefore, we should be unafraid to ask Him for anything, trusting that whatever He answers, the answer will be our ultimate good. He may or may not grant specific petitions, but it will never be because our petitions are too hard for Him. Ask away! Run to the Father with your prayers and believe on His provisional posture toward you.

APPLY
Q: What does this miracle demonstrate about Jesus?
Q: Where in your life do you need to surrender “five loaves and two fish” and allow God to multiply it?
Q: How does God’s ultimate authority over all creation impact the Great Commission?
SING
“Come Thou Fount (Above All Else)” by Shane and Shane
PRAY
"Forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us."
Lord, the greatest miracle of all is the gospel. You have raised us to life. We have died with you, and now we live as resurrected people. Help this to make us more confident in your ability to grant our daily needs. Help us to come boldly before the throne of grace! Amen.
