Devotionals for February 24, 2023
Come to our Night of Worship this Saturday, February 25 at 6:30pm!
READ
PROVERBS 3:9-10
Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grains, and your vats will overflow with good wine.
REFLECT
Just as the widow in the temple gave the Lord the best of what she had to offer, so are we called to honor God with our best. We have to be careful not to compare our giving to others. God is looking at the heart of the giver. When we bring Him our best, He will bless us.
APPLY
Q: How are we told to honor God in this passage?
Q: Are you giving God your best or your leftovers?
Q: How can you use this passage to encourage someone to give their best to God?
SING
Hosanna by Hillsong
PRAY
"And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one."
Father how grateful I am that I don't fight my battles alone! There is no circumstance that I can encounter that you don't have the way through. How much lighter my load when I trust you in the details. Thank you for your mercy and grace. Amen.
