Romans 2:1-2

12 And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.  2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Colossians 2:8

Don’t let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from the spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ.

1 Peter 3:15

15 Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it. 16 But do this in a gentle and respectful way. Keep your conscience clear.

REFLECT

A changed life is a life of worshiping God. Most of the time when we think of worship, our minds go to our favorite worship song…singing praises to God. Psalm 150 reveals music as a beautiful form of worshiping God. However, true worship of God goes much deeper than our outward expression of a song to Him. True worship of God is surrendering every part of our lives to Him as a living and holy sacrifice, set apart from the behaviors and customs of the world, allowing God to transform our thinking and in turn, transform our behavior. When we worship God in this way, not only are we transformed, but we also become a reflection of Jesus to those around us.
