Acts 19:8-10
8 Then Paul went to the synagogue and preached boldly for the next three months, arguing persuasively about the Kingdom of God. 9 But some became stubborn, rejecting his message and publicly speaking against the Way. So Paul left the synagogue and took the believers with him. Then he held daily discussions at the lecture hall of Tyrannus. 10 This went on for the next two years so that people throughout the province of Asia—both Jews and Greeks—heard the word of the Lord.

REFLECT
A changed life intentionally invests in the lives of others for the purpose of growing the church, not just in number, but also in understanding the Kingdom of God. Paul didn’t just go on a week-long mission trip and then returned to his daily life. He intentionally invested 2 years of his time, having daily discussions about Jesus with the folks throughout Asia. In this way, the word of the Lord spread, not just from the mouth of Paul, but also from the mouths and lives of those he influenced. We have similar opportunities in our daily lives to make the same kind of investment. You don’t have to travel abroad to be in the mission field. It is at home with our families, in our workplaces, in our neighborhood, and at the local coffee shop we frequently visit, and it goes without saying, at TNLC.
APPLY
Q: How are you encouraged or challenged by Paul’s intentionality and persistence when it comes to growing the church?
Q: What will you adjust in your life to be more gospel mission-minded and more gospel mission intentional?
Q: Take a minute to consider the people and opportunities in your everyday life. What difference would you like to make in the lives of those God has placed before you? How will you follow the example of Paul?

PRAY
"Forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us."
Lord, help me to follow the example of Paul when it comes to growing your church. Keep my mind on the mission you have given me and let me never grow weary of doing good.
