Matthew 9:9-10
9 As Jesus was walking along, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at his tax collector’s booth. “Follow me and be my disciple,” Jesus said to him. So Matthew got up and followed him. 10 Later, Matthew invited Jesus and his disciples to his home as dinner guests, along with many tax collectors and other disreputable sinners.

REFLECT
Matthew was so excited about His new relationship with Jesus, he didn’t wait long before he created an opportunity to introduce Jesus to the lost in his circle of influence. Matthew didn’t throw just any dinner party. He threw a party with the intent and purpose of introducing his fellow tax collectors and other disreputable sinners to Jesus, his Messiah. What a great example and attitude Matthew has left us. It’s easy to invite the lost to church, but where real kingdom differences are made is with intentional investment…created opportunities with Jesus as the guest of honor.

PRAY
"Forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us."
Teach me Lord to be just as intentional in my interactions with the lost as you were during your time on earth. Line up my thoughts to your thoughts and my ways to your ways.
