REFLECT
Running the race of faith is hard, but imagine always doing it alone. Could you imagine running a business, leading a family, or arranging a wedding with zero support? God intended for His church to run together. Yet, we often gravitate to the same friends and circles. These passages show strength and splendor between generations. The young can help the old in their faith, and the old can help direct the young in theirs. We need each other to run the race.
APPLY
Q: Why does Proverbs focus on strength for younger people and grey hair for older people? What do these images mean?
Q: Who’s someone younger you’re mentoring in the faith? Who’s mentoring you?
Q: How can you be more intentional this week about connecting with people older and younger than you?
