1 Corinthians 6:19-20
19 Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, 20 for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.

If you have chosen to give your whole self and life to Jesus, then that includes your body as well.  Your body no longer belongs to your desires or feelings.  You belong to Christ!  The good news is that this will actually provide you with protection, encouragement, and freedom rather than being enslaved to your desires.  What a gift we have knowing how much our Father loves us and was willing to sacrifice his one and only Son!

Q: What is evidence in the above scripture that God loves us?

Q: Are there things in your life that you are still trying to control that need to be turned over to Jesus?

Q: How can you be an example to others by honoring your body when you are around others?

"And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one."

God, thank you for loving me so much!  I want to honor you in all that I do, particularly with my body.  Show me where I need to submit to You and teach me what pleases You.  Remind me of Your love and protection as the reasons to honor you with my body!
