REFLECT
In Genesis, a beautiful story unfolds of a young man’s life who had a vision of a better future. But he would experience some significant setbacks along the way. His own siblings would sell him to be a slave. So off to slavery, he went to Egypt. Experiencing the lowest of lows and getting elevated to high places wherever he went. His name was Joseph.
His road was paved with some hard times, but his eyes were on the One who had a plan and purpose for his life. And when he was elevated to be second in command in Egypt, his dreams from long ago started to unfold. His brothers came to his court for food and through the story we find that Joseph was not embittered towards them. He was able to say, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good…”
No matter what we face in life, we can know there is One on the throne who sees every circumstance we will face. He never loses track of us when we keep our eyes on Him. He can give us a perfect peace that sustains us. He alone can carry the burdens of our hearts and make the day-to-day challenges just a little lighter.

"Give us today our daily bread."
Lord, I need Your perfect peace in what I face today. It is my sustenance. It keeps me sustained for the road You have given me to travel. May I focus on Your plan for my life and have perfect peace in You as I wait for every detail to unfold.
