REFLECT
In the beginning, God created day and night, and said it was good. Sometimes the night may not feel good to us when we are in it. When our lives are feeling like the night and we crave for God’s light, we have to recognize the faith-building importance of suffering and walking in the night so we keep moving courageously through it. As children of God, we need to cling to the One who can see (even in the night). When we cling to Jesus, our closeness will breed love and intimacy, even in our disappointments.
APPLY
Q: Why should we follow Jesus (see verse 12)?
Q: When you are feeling the darkness of life, how can you cling closer to Jesus?
Q: Who needs to be encouraged by you today? How can you bring Jesus’ light to them?
