READ

Ephesians 6:10-13
10 A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. 12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle, you will still be standing firm.

Hebrews 10:23
23 Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.

REFLECT

God has already proven his amazing love for you by sending His Son to willingly die for you, even when you were a sinner.  Remember that fact!  Times of darkness and disappointment are the perfect opportunity for the enemy to bring you down and try to move you away from God or to make you think God doesn’t care about you. This is when you want to lean more into the promises of God.  The best promise is that ultimate victory is ours because Jesus has overcome the world and will return one day to restore all things.

APPLY

Q: Why do we have to put on God’s armor?

Q: What is the devil trying to get you to believe?  Hint:  It will not align with God’s word.  How are you fighting back?

Q: Who in your life needs reinforcements to help fight a battle in this life?  How can you pray with them, share God’s word, or worship together during this trying time?

SING

PRAY

"Forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us."

Jesus, You are who You say You are!  Thank you for delivering me from evil.  Help me put on all your armor and to fight for what I know is right and true.  Give me more of Your Holy Spirit and reveal to me when the devil is trying to deceive me.  Keep my eyes focused on You Lord!
