READ

Matthew 28:16–20
Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

REFLECT

Notice how the disciples—the very people with Jesus to see the miracles and the glory—had doubts before the famous commission to “Go”. Jesus acknowledges whatever those doubts were by comforting and encouraging them: “And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Imagine Jesus turning to you, right now, as you pray about people to share the Gospel with. He is with you…always. Sharing the Gospel can feel intimidating, but the more we trust Jesus for the strength to do it, the more natural it will become.

APPLY

Q: Where does Jesus tell the disciples to go?

Q: How can you trust in Jesus more as you share the Gospel?

Q: Pick three to five people to pray for this week, people who you know need the Gospel. Write down their names and take five minutes to pray for them right now.

PRAY

"Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy."

Lord, you are holy and mighty. Thank you for your promises and encouragement to always be with me. Help me to acknowledge you before others today and to share the Gospel boldly. Amen.
