READ

Isaiah 52:7-8
How beautiful on the mountains
are the feet of those who bring good news,
who proclaim peace,
who bring good tidings,
who proclaim salvation,
who say to Zion,
“Your God reigns!”
Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices;
together they shout for joy.
When the LORD returns to Zion,
they will see it with their own eyes.

REFLECT

God had sent prophets, like Isaiah and Nahum, to proclaim warnings and promises of healing to Israel before they were exiled. The prophets would proclaim the good news of God and the coming Messiah to point the people of Israel to a time of healing. You also have time, before Jesus’s second coming, to share the good news with those around you. You have the opportunity to go and share a beautiful, refreshing Gospel of hope and healing in Jesus.

APPLY

Q: Read the above passage again. How does Isaiah describe the joy the people feel when they hear the good news?

Q: How do you view your opportunity to share the Gospel? Does it feel like a chore or something beautiful and full of hope?

Q: Pause and pray for your list of people. Pray for your courage to share the good news of Jesus with them and for their hearts to know the joy of the Gospel.

PRAY

"Give us today our daily bread."

Father, you are all I need. Thank you for sending your Son, the Bread of Life, to save the world. Give me the courage and joy to share the good news with others today, so they can feed on the only news that will give them life forever with You. Amen.
