1 Corinthians 13:4-7
4 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5 or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. 6 It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. 7 Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

God’s love is directed outward to others.  It is completely unselfish.  This kind of love goes against our natural inclinations.  It’s only possible with God’s help.  He helps us set aside our own natural desires so that we can love unconditionally.  The more we love Christ - the more we can love people.  What an amazing love that is!

God, You are love.  You showed us all what love really is.  It’s not easy and I need Your help and guidance.  Teach me how to love others the way You love me.
