READ

JAMES 1:22-25
“But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.”

JAMES 4:17
“Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.”

REFLECT

First, this passage really reminds us how important it is to get a daily dose of God’s Word in our lives. We cannot sustain on just what we get on a Sunday morning. The Bible reminds us that to have constant fellowship with God we need to be in the source that tells us who He is, how He operates, and what He sees for our lives. Time in the Word is the best investment you can make with your day. It will pay off in ways that you can’t fully comprehend.

When you put the order of your day after giving Him the first fruits of your day, you will notice the productivity and the efficiency of which you work. Then you will have eyes to do what He calls you to and make a difference in your circle of influence. Remember, there is no act too small for the Kingdom of God!
