Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

REFLECT
Paul endured. He was shipwrecked, abandoned, beaten, and jailed. But his circumstances couldn’t stop his ultimate passion for sharing the Gospel with the world. How can someone find such deep joy in their lives despite the hardship? A key phrase Paul uses in this passage is “put it into practice.” The peace of God doesn’t come by accident. Rather, it comes through a life of trusting in Jesus, imitating the faith of mature believers, and passing on what is good to the next generation.

Lord thank you for surrounding me with others who love Jesus. Thank you for the words of life, the saints of old, and your Son who intercedes for me at this moment. Help me keep my heart and eyes on you today. Amen.
